How the 7LifeLanguages™ Bring Balance

The 7LifeLanguages™ balance each other in many ways.  For example, we have found many Movers who married Responders.  Both Life Languages are very passionate.  Movers are passionate because of their high standards.  Responders are passionate because of their emotions.  Movers are many times fiery and harsh.  Responders like to be tender and soften the harshness of the Mover.

Influencers tend to motivate others and rely on personal experience.  Contemplators balance Influencers by using the truth of Scripture to motivate.

Shapers have a strong desire to complete their plans.  But, they may not know the practical steps to achieve their desired goals.  Doers balance this by providing those practical steps.

There seems to be fewer Producers than any other Life Language.  They are cognitive and look for needs that they can meet.  They give based on the quality and long-term impact it will have -- not because of needs or emotions.  They bring balance to all the other Life Languages.

Romans 12:4-5 tells us, "For as in one physical body we have many parts (organs, members) and all of these parts do not have the same function or use, so we, numerous as we are, are one body in Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One and His anointing) and individually we are parts one of another [mutually dependent on one another]."

We can think of this as a Menorah.  Each branch is balanced with a candle on both sides.  The Life Languages compliment and balance each other the same way.

The Menorah is one of the oldest symbols of the Jewish faith.  A seven-branched candelabrum was used in the Temple.  The Priests (Kohanim) lit the menorah in the Sanctuary every evening and cleaned it out every morning, replacing the wicks and putting fresh oil into the cups (Exodus 25:31-40).  Jesus commanded us to let our light so shine every day (Matthew 5:16) and we must wash ourselves clean our spirits every morning with the Word of God.

The Menorah is a symbol of the nation of Israel and our mission to be "a light unto the nations" (Isaiah 42:6) The old Jewish wise teachers and scholars (sages) emphasized that light is not a violent force; Israel is to accomplish its mission by setting an example, not by using force.  It is by "Life Example" – Our life witness as we work together in LOVE as the Body of Christ – that we can be a light unto the world.  We work together and bring balance to each other.

"Owe no man anything, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law."  (Romans 13:8)  "Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves."  (Philippians 2:3)
